KS3 & KS4 English Tutor

Iqra Education is looking for a dedicated and inspiring English Tutor to join our team, supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4. We provide small-group academic support in English, Maths, and Science, helping learners strengthen core skills, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

 

The Role
As an English Tutor, you will play a vital role in shaping students’ understanding of language, literature, and communication. Working with small groups of mixed-ability learners, you’ll help them develop reading comprehension, writing structure, grammar, and vocabulary while encouraging creativity and self-expression.

 

You’ll celebrate every milestone, guide students through challenges, and motivate them to reach their full potential. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys making learning engaging, purposeful, and rewarding.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver interactive, well-structured English sessions that support the National Curriculum.
  • Provide individual and group support to help close learning gaps and build confidence.
  • Encourage students to think critically and express ideas clearly.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Support the wider goals of the centre by embodying Iqra Education’s values and high standards.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Enthusiastic and confident role models with a genuine passion for education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An ability to motivate and engage young learners.
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching English (preferred but not essential).
  • A patient, positive, and encouraging approach.
